Our beautiful accommodations in Bali at Gaia Oasis in Tejakula.
(this is where you’ll be living for a week)
Accommodations:
Gaia Oasis is located on the Northeast shore of the island, completely secluded, with a corridor of bungalows along a grassy lawn and just behind the black sand beaches overlooking the Bali Sea. The bungalows are constructed out of bamboo, natural stone and wood; some are covered by traditional Alang-Alang grass roofs. They have open-air bathrooms, hot water, fully-equipped kitchens, mosquito nets, closets, towels, linen, and a day-bed. To reduce our carbon footprint, bungalows are designed to maximize airflow and use natural ventilation instead of air-conditioning. The beach is visible from the doorsteps of your bungalow and less than a minute’s walk till your feet are in the warm ocean water.

Travel:
Our retreat begins at 4pm on September 13th, 2026. Everyone flies into Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, Bali. From there, you can make your way directly (by cab or Gaia Oasis can arrange for transportation) to the Pantai Resort in Tejakula. Tejakula is located on the northeast shore of the island and is about an hour and a half from Ubud.
I recommend arriving a day or two early to adjust to the time zone. Stay a few days in Ubud, Seminyak, or even at Gaia before and after to rest and integrate before heading home.
Bali:
There’s so much to see in Bali. The island is Vedic and their culture is devotional. The Balinese are so friendly and they all share the same 10-15 names. There’s temples everywhere (and most of them require you wear a sarong - including men). Stay in Ubud and live it up in one of their many beautiful hotels. Shop for a vintage sarong or other amazing crafts, visit the Sacred Monkey Forest, check out a Kecak Fire Dance or explore the ancient Tegallalang Rice Terraces. There’s the breathtaking Uluwatu Temple which teeters on an escarpment in the southernmost tip of the island. Or you can take a ferry to the Gili Islands near Lombok and become so relaxed and enchanted you never go home.
Covid, Visas and additional information:
THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE:
Remember that Indonesia has, like many other countries, put restrictions in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19. All of these are subject to change and I will give the latest and update everyone as our dates get closer. But the quick shot of it is, get a PCR test before getting on the plane. When you land in Bali they’ll want to see the results.
Wearing a face mask is mandatory almost everywhere. But during our retreat, we wont have to.
Arrivals to Indonesia must arrive with a negative PCR test result (rapid test is not good enough). The PCR/Swab test results in a valid maximum of 7 days from the health facility issuance. Please print a copy of it and carry it with you.
Electronic Health Alert Card (eHAC) must have installed on the phone and completed the form in the app. Print the survey confirmation and carry it with you.
You are required to register here when visiting Bali.
We will be watching the Covid number closely. All attendees must be vaccinated. But that shouldn’t be a problem since you have to be vaccinated to board the plane. We will test everyone upon arrival. Usually, the Covid numbers dip in the summer and if you’re masked up on a flight there shouldn’t be any problems. Gaia Oasis is secluded, from most of Bali and the retreat center is open air and there’s always a breeze.
